Great pool and restaurant in a quiet location. Very relaxing plac to stay.
The bells at the temple ring late at night and early in the morning.
Good staff helpful and with good English. Spacious comfortable rooms.
Location is ok but a bit too far from restaurants/bars
The staff were excellent very attentive, efficient and always assisted you with a smile. Lots of different syles of room we stayed in #1 suite (room 4) and it was huge with a lovely terrace looking to the pool. Very peaceful location but near to all amenities. Tuk tuks outside for transportation.
Perfect hotel close to everything, very nice swimming pool, big rooms in a typical house, very good restaurant. Perfetto.
Swimming pool area. Helpfull for getting visa for Vietnam. Good breakfast.
Small room and not really clean when we arrived. Dirt behind the small minibar fridge.Bathroom below acceptable standards. Bathtub badly stained and erratc hot and sometimes cold water supply. Staff friendly but not very competent. Sad to say but this was not one of our favourite places during our 4 week travel through Laos and Cambodja.
This is a lovely little hotel, the staff are very nice and friendly, the location is excellent as you are just a few minutes walk from the centre of town and yet the hotel is quiet and peaceful. The breakfast is also very nice.
The hotel is not well signposted so it can be difficult to find (look out for the little guardhouse in front of the hotel) as I think the address isn't quite right.
the hotel is set close to the Independence Monument and nice restaurants, but it feels tranquil and relaxing. the swimming pool is beautiful with all the green plants set around it. as soon as you walk through the front door you feel realxed and it feels like you are not in a busy city. the rooms are spacious, well designed, and have a calm about them. lovely place
The pool and the friendly staff and the interesting guests you attract here.whom are interesting to talk to. Many guests have stayed here before and come back again and again, which provides confidence in a great place to stay.
Nothing I disliked
The Langka is a lovely hotel which is tastefully decorated. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The pool was lovely to come back to at the end of the day, and there were heaps of day beds to relax on around the pool all day long. Lots of variety for breakfast. The staff were very accommodating and helped us out with tuk tuks and day trips. Excellent value for money!!
It is a new well run hotel in a prime location. The staff were very helpful always with a smile on their faces. Facilities were modern and everything worked well.
I did not like that only English news was a very biased Fox news that really isn't news but right-wing opinion. What is up not having BBC or CNN? And why don't you print negative comments
Friendly staff AMD owner quiet clean AMD very centrally located
Everything! Cambodia is a poor country however there are a few sparkling hotels waiting to spoil you - and this is one of them!! Staff are super amazing & at your beck & call 24/7. Communication was good - the staff spoke great english but if they had difficulty understanding you they would go out of their way to find another staff member to translate. They are very friendly, will help with any request & always have a smile on their face. The restaurant & bar is delicious! Food is amazingly fresh & tasty with an excellent choice of both Khmer & western foods. We had the suite & it was the size of a football field (I slightly exaggerate..) with a beautiful private balcony, an enormous bathroom & a huge four poster bedroom with a study & sitting area. It has fantastic security. Located a short tuktuk ride to 'River Side' which has too many bars & restaurants to choose from! Tuktuk drivers are waiting just outside the hotel OR the hotel offers a private driver if you desire. There are also excellent bars & restaurants at the end of the street - about 50 metres - if you turn left out the gate. A very short walk! The best part about this place is the bar & restaurant prices are very reasonable & if you don't feel like 'going out' then you can always just walk downstairs & not feel like you're paying exhorbitant prices or being ripped off.
We had slight issues with the electricity. It is very hot in Cambodia so when your power cuts out your room gets very hot, very quick. However, the staff rectified the issue as soon as they could - about ten minutes. This happened twice but they were super apologetic about it.
The hotel is an oasis amongst houses shops etc. It has a nice feel with lots of tropical plants and a nice pool to cool off after a hot day walking around the city. I had a superior room which was nice and spacious so no problem with the hotel or the room. Staff were helpful and pleasant and always willing to answer a request. Good for families and couples and plenty of tables for sitting and relaxing. service was reasonably good.
A few things were annoying. One was the lights outside my room were rather bright which were left on all night. I didn't sleep well as I like a dark room. Also at breakfast there were limited amounts on offer, I only eat eggs so I had a choice of usual fried , poached, omelet and the staff seemed to hover keeping an eye on and watching what you were selecting. It was a bit off putting, for $65 USD a night I don't know why they were so conscious of what amount you had for breakfast. The pineapple was tasteless left most on my plate, overall the breakfast was sub standard. I had a great breakfast at a hotel for $20 USD in Siem Reap and they had a substantial choice on offer. Also building works next door was noisy. Nice place but I wished I had chosen elsewhere like the Billabong Hotel which was a better location and half the price ie $32 US per night. I stayed at Billabong for 2 nites a week before. Also about 7-10 kids took over the pool so I just picked a bad time I guess. Its a nice place but i would probably look at other options if in Phnom Penh again soon.
It was a good value, not very expensive but comfortable and in a good location. Staff was friendly and generally efficient.
My room was quite small but adequate, although a little more space would be good. A luggage rack and more space to hang up my clothes would be good.
Beautiful Palm Springs style architecture and design. Tastefully decorated. Romantic bar and pool area. Beautiful tropical vegetation.
AC wasn't turned on in our room so when we arrived the room smelled musty. It would be better to air the rooms out before guests arrive. After the AC turned on it was fine.
